Sodium fusidate, also known as sodium fucoidate and sodium fusidate, is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic with a steroid skeleton, a derivative of fusidic acid, with a white crystal or crystalline powder appearance, odorless , Bitter taste, slightly hygroscopic, soluble in water, ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform, insoluble in propyl copper, ether and benzene. It was successfully developed by the Danish Leo Pharmaceutical Company for the first time. The trade name is Listin. This product has strong tissue penetration and is mainly metabolized in the liver. It is excreted by the bile, almost not through the kidneys, and has low toxicity. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It produces bactericidal effect, has good antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria, and has good drug resistance. At the same time, bacterial strains that are resistant to antibiotics such as penicillin and methicillin are still sensitive to this product. There was no cross-resistance among other antimicrobials used. This product is a non-cephalosporin antibiotic, so no skin allergy test is required. At present, it has been widely used in the treatment of various infections caused by various sensitive bacteria, especially Staphylococcus, such as osteomyelitis, sepsis, endocarditis. , Repeated infection of cystic fibrosis, bacterial endocarditis, pneumonia, meningitis, diphtheria, tuberculosis, skin and soft tissue infections, surgical and traumatic infections. Intravenous administration for severe infections or infections with drug-resistant strains, and also for MRSA infections. But because of its easy to produce drug resistance, it is mostly used as an adjuvant drug. Oral treatment of pseudomembranous colitis caused by Clostridium difficile has a good effect.
