What is Cefotaxime Sodium

Cefotaxime sodium is a third-generation semi-synthetic cephalosporin. It is not as effective against Gram-positive bacteria as cefazolin. Enterococcus is resistant to this product.

Function of Cefotaxime Sodium

It is not effective against penicillin-resistant pneumococci. It has a strong effect on Gram-negative bacteria. Bactericidal activity, antibacterial effect against Escherichia coli, influenza bacillus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella is stronger than cefoperazone, weak or resistant to Bacteroides fragilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter cloacae Product is not sensitive
