Prednisolone also known as prednisone, cloprednisone, prednisolone, dehydrocortisone, prednisone, prednisolone acetate, acetate is a white or almost white crystalline powder, no Smelly, bitter taste. Almost insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol or chloroform. It is an adrenal glucocorticoid and corticotropin drug, and it is a medium-acting glucocorticoid. Its efficacy is comparable to that of prednisone, its anti-inflammatory effect is stronger, and its water and salt metabolism is weak. This product is a hydroxy compound (the hydroxy group is at the 11th position), and it has good efficacy for topical application, such as skin diseases and eye diseases, because it is directly effective locally, and it is also suitable for patients with liver insufficiency. Oral absorption is fast and complete, reaching the peak plasma concentration within 1 hour, the plasma protein binding rate is 90% to 95%, and the half-life is about 200 minutes. It can enter the fetal circulation, and the amount of the drug that appears in the milk is 0.07% to 0.23%. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted mainly from the kidney, of which the prototype drug accounts for more than 20%. Prednisolone is mainly used for allergic and inflammatory diseases. Due to the weak sodium retention effect of this product, it is generally not necessary to replace the treatment of adrenal insufficiency. Hyperadrenocorticism, hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart failure, diabetes, psychosis, epilepsy, post-operative patients and patients with gastric, duodenal ulcers, intestinal diseases or chronic malnutrition should be avoided. Do not use this drug for general infections. In the case of acute infection and poisoning, it must be used in conjunction with a sufficient amount of effective antibacterial drugs. For severe tuberculosis, a sufficient amount of anti-tuberculosis drugs should be used in combination, and the dose should be reduced or stopped in time according to the condition.
