Gonadorelin acetate is secreted by the pituitary in vivo and can stimulate the anterior pituitary to secrete gonadotropins FSH and LH. LH can promote the synthesis and secretion of androgens in the interstitium of the male testis. The dual effects of LH and FSH can promote ovarian synthesis and secretion of estrogen.
