What is Tetracosactide Acetate
Tetracosactide (also known as Cosyntropin) is a synthetic peptide that is identical to the 24-amino acid segment (sequence: SYSMEHFRWGKPVGKKRRPVKVYP) at the N-terminal of adrenocorticotropic hormone (1-24), a segment similar in all species, contains the biological activity that stimulates production of corticosteroids in the adrenal cortex. Tetracosactide exhibits the same activity as natural with regard to all its biological activities. The complex results in a product whose absorption in man is effected over a longer period of time as compared to corticotropin.  

Tetracosactide Acetate Benefits

Tetracosactide Acetate Dosage
This depends on your body weight. All of the research carried out so far has used rodent studies, the rats and mice are usually injected with an effective dosage thought to be around 10 μg (mcg) per KG, in humans this is thought to be around the equivalent loading of 1.6 μg per KG in humans, so if you are: 
 
60 KG (132 lb.) then your ideal daily oral dose would be 96 μg (mcg)
70 KG (154 lb.) => 112 μg
80 KG (176 lb.) => 128 μg
90 KG (198 lb.) => 144 μg
 

It is used to diagnose adrenal insufficiency; it can also be used to treat rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, skin diseases and shock. Adverse reactions and contraindications: Itching, flushing, urticaria, bronchospasm and other allergic reactions are less than corticotropin. Occasional syncope and collapse. Long-term or excessive use may cause edema, hypertension, hypokalemia, hyperpigmentation and induced infection, etc. People allergic to natural corticotropin should be used with caution.
