Faropenem sodium is the first domestically marketed oral penem antibiotic. There is a 4-hydrofuran group attached to the 2-position of the penem nucleus. Its chemical structure is relatively stable, and its basic structure is similar to that of β-lactams. Similar to antibiotics, it belongs to atypical β-lactam antibiotics. It has good affinity with penicillin-binding protein and good β-lactamase stability. It is a national class 4 new drug developed in China. It has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, no less than oramipenem-cilastatin sodium for injection; it has a broad antibacterial spectrum against aerobic gram-positive bacteria, aerobic gram-negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria; especially for Staphylococcus, Moraxella, Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Enterococcus in aerobic gram-positive bacteria, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Proteus in aerobic gram-negative bacteria , Influenza, Peptostreptococcus, Propionibacterium, Haemophilus pertussis and Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides, etc. in anaerobic bacteria show strong bactericidal efficacy, and the antibacterial activity is better than the existing cephalosporin oral antibiotics; it is a severe hospital infection The best choice for patients.

Faropenem sodium is mainly used for the treatment of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Enterococcus, Moraxella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Proteus mirabilis, Haemophilus influenzae The following infectious diseases caused by Bacillus, Peptostreptococcus, Propionibacterium acnes, Bacteroides and other sensitive bacteria: 1. Urinary system infection: pyelonephritis, cystitis, prostatitis, orchitis; 2. Respiratory system infection: pharyngitis , tonsillitis, acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess (pulmonary abscess disease); 3. uterine adnexitis, intrauterine infection, bartholinitis; 4. superficial skin infection, deep skin infection, acne (with purulent inflammation); 5. Secondary infections such as lymphangitis, lymphadenitis, mastitis, perianal abscess, trauma, scald and surgical trauma; 6. Dacryocystitis, stye, meibomian adenitis, cornea inflammation (including corneal ulcer); 7, otitis externa, otitis media, sinusitis; 8, periodontitis, periodontitis, jaw inflammation. This product is especially used for pediatric bacterial infection in clinical, such as lower respiratory tract infection, 95-100% effective, and the clinical evaluation is high.
