Description
Camatinib (INC280; INCB28060) is a potent, oral, selective, ATP-competitive c-Met kinase inhibitor (IC50=0.13nM). Camatinib can effectively inhibit the proliferation and migration of c-met-dependent tumor cells, and can effectively induce cell apoptosis. Has anti-tumor activity.

Function 
Capmatinib selectively binds to c-Met, thereby inhibiting c-Met phosphorylation and disrupting the c-Met signal transduction pathway. This may lead to cell death of tumor cells, over-expression of c-met protein or expression of c-met protein that matches the activity, c-met is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is over-expressed or mutated in many tumor cell types. It plays a key role in tumor cell proliferation, survival, invasion, metastasis and tumor angiogenesis.
